After some shared commiserations on the likelihood of the Jobs for Families reforms becoming law this week, we go to an interview Liam conducted at Parliament House with Labor's Early Education Shadow Minister Kate Ellis MP. Kate was incredibly generous with her time on what turned into a very, very busy day! She discusses her legacy in early education politics, problems with the Government's planned reforms and what advocates for children should be focused on.

Wow, that was depressing. I'd say your predictions re the impact of the govt's new early ed policy would be pretty spot on Lisa. We advocates have a lot of work to do to make sure the next time govt makes policy changes, it is for the better not worse. Sad that this probably won't happen again for 5-10 years ie 2 cohorts of children 😱
